Information We Collect

QR Scanner does not require you to create an account and does not ask for personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or address.

The app may process the following information only to provide its features:

• Camera input: used to scan QR codes when you choose to scan with the camera.
• Selected image files: used to decode a QR code from an image you choose to upload.
• QR scan results: saved locally on your device as scan history.
• Advertising data: ads may use device information, app activity, diagnostics, IP address, and advertising identifiers such as the Android Advertising ID, depending on your device settings and Google AdMob requirements.

How We Use Information

Information processed by the app is used only for app functionality, including:

• Scanning QR codes.
• Decoding QR codes from selected images.
• Showing the scan result.
• Saving scan history locally on your device.
• Opening links, copying results, or sharing results when you choose those actions.

Advertising

QR Scanner may show ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use information such as device identifiers, advertising identifiers, IP address, app interactions, diagnostic information, and other data needed to deliver ads, measure ad performance, prevent fraud, and comply with advertising policies.

Google may use this information to provide personalized or non-personalized ads, depending on your consent, region, and device settings. You can control or reset your Android Advertising ID through your device settings.

Local Storage and History

QR Scanner stores scan history locally on your device using local app storage. This history is not sent to us by the app.

You can delete saved scan history from inside the app using the reset data option.

Camera and File Access

Camera access is used only when you start a QR scan. Image/file access is used only when you choose an image for QR decoding. The app does not use camera or file access in the background.

Sharing and Opening Links

If you tap Open Web, the app may open the scanned link using your device browser or another installed app. If you tap Share, the selected scan result is shared through the sharing apps you choose. Those third-party apps or websites handle data according to their own privacy policies.

Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your QR scan results. QR scan results remain on your device unless you choose to open, copy, or share them using app features.

Advertising data may be collected or processed by Google AdMob as described in the Advertising section above. Google handles that data according to Google's own policies.

Children's Privacy

QR Scanner is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

We use a privacy-friendly approach by keeping scan history on your device. Please be careful when opening QR code links, because QR codes can contain websites or text created by third parties.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when app features or legal requirements change. Updates will be posted on this page with a new last updated date.
